Buxus sempervirens Green Gem is one of the popular Buxus sempervirens varieties. Can grow to 1.2m high but often is trimmed into a 50-75cm hedge. Grows best in full sun or partial shade on a well drained site. Tolerant of frost, cool climates and coastal situations, it doesn’t enjoy extremes of wet or dry. Ideal spacing for a hedge is 25-30 cm apart.
