Bushy widely branched shrub bearing small rounded rough-edged leaves with a joint where they attach to a flattened stalk. Leaf blade 5-10mm, rounded, thick, margin rough, young leaves with three leaflets. Flowers cream, star-shaped. Fruit dry, in 2-4 parts. Endemic to New Zealand
