A clonal selection which grows as a single leader.  Commonly used as a street tree in New Zealand.  Dark green leaves with grey white felt on the reverse. Flowers bright red. Flowers profusely from a young age.  New Zealand native, evergreen, frost tender when young, frost hardy to -5°C.
