Olea europaea ‘J5’ is frost tolerant and produces a heavy yield of olives on a large tree. It is well-suited for use in hedges, screens, or for avenues and driveways. It is self-fertile, making it capable of producing fruit on its own. The fruit ripens in autumn, transitioning from green to red before becoming a purple-black color. It features white flowers during the summer and has grey-green leaves and is evergreen and native to the Mediterranean through to Africa and China.
