Savage lancewood, unusual,the  juvenile leaves are very long lanceolate, leathery with deeply serrated edges. Leaves hang down from the stem at an acute angle and are blotchy grey green with purple. Adult form is a round headed tree. A New Zealand native, which is evergreen and frost  hardy to -5°C.
